Shout! Shout! Let it all out!
Hey everyone!
I guess the subconscious of Gag Reflex, both in IL and TX, has been on a bit of a hiatus. I know we all had shows a couple of weeks ago, but this is ridiculous! Is everyone holding onto all of their creative output for the new material for the holidays or what? Did everyone have a good show? I know that the IL crew had a successful 1st weekend run, in spite of Ben's absence for another wedding...his sister's wedding, that is. Labor Day weekend will hopefully be just as smashing, although we'll still be down a Gagger due to Lisa's prepaid weekend elsewhere. The good news is, we'll have more publicity and a bigger house in which to perform. The bad news is, well, there really isn't any bad news, but these type of statements always seem to go hand-in-hand. Oh, wait. There is the matter of the post-show Labor Day cook-out extravaganza. I guess that means the bad news is that summer will officially be over after that. Darn! That's the end! Or something to that effect.
Anyway, I expect to read more subconsciousness from the rest of you! Unless, of course, these are the things I can do without. Come on! I'm talking to you, so come on!

Hey Marea.
Good luck getting Gaggers to post here. God knows I've tried. And I do everything else for them, so I'm not gonna' do THIS for them, too.
That said, our Austin shows went GREAT! We basically sold out 3 of our 4 nights, made a ton of money and a lot of new fans.
We cultivated some new cast members into becoming new writers, which is outstanding, and we developed a lot of chemistry during the run of this show.
I'm planning on taking it, now that our Austin run is over, to some other cities, including San Antonio, Lockhart and maybe Dallas.
We're going to be working on our first CD and new, Austin episodes of Gag Reflex Comedy Theatre of the Air for podcasting.
We're also going to be figuring our where we'll be doing our annual New Year's Eve show (we're talking about making it a music-heavy night with some rare cast-favorite sketches). Hey -- maybe we'll make it a CD release party, too!
Anyway, lots going on down here, but few peopl posting anything about it.
Tell you what ... I'll twist the arms of the Austin cast if you do the same up north!

Hey Dale!
Congrats to everyone down there on the successful run! I'm glad to know all went so well. Eric was talking about the positive reviews y'all got at our rehearsal last night. Kudos to everyone!
I am a little curious about the chemistry development, though. Are you saying cast members were hooking up or that everyone just clicks? Perhaps you should start filiming it and generate some sales in the porn department instead of the podcasts. It's bound to be more lucrative. There's just nothing better than watching sex AND laughing at the same time. Unless, of course, you throw some snacks into the mix. Now THAT's ENTERTAINMENT!

"There's just nothing better than watching sex AND laughing at the same time."
Yes, that's what all my sexual partners have always said.
I meant stage chemistry, but it's worth noting that all of the women in our group want to sleep with Dino.
