So here's a shitty thing. A friend of our family, Kevin McCann, age 23, was killed this weekend. Apparently (or am I supposed to say allegedly?) for trying to help someone out. You can read about it here http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-marine06.html
if you like. It just...sucks. Mostly cuz it could have so easily been my brothers. I won't go on about gun control, or fucking idiots, or the potential hazards of just trying to help a guy out, but I'm just feeling a little maudlin.
